Today I did baptisms for the dead at the Logan Temple with my Young Women's group!
It was my first time and I felt so happy that I had the opportunity to do this.
Julie Jacobs (my friend in young womens) and I were the only two girls so we each got to do 15 baptisms in a row!
I felt so happy and special, I hope that I can do it again sometime!
that is cool that u got to do that we justhad a meeting to welcome me and a cuple of other girls to yw
ReplyDeleteHow fun! I loved doing baptisms for the dead...and you got to travel a little ways too! I'm so glad you had a good time doing this..great job! Did you get to go out and eat afterwards? That was one of my favorite parts of it!
ReplyDeleteHi Brooklyn! This is Brielle. I can't wait to be old enough to go to the temple and do baptisms for the dead just like you! I am glad that you got to go to the temple. Sorry you didn't wake up in time & almost missed it.
ReplyDeleteOh, Brooklyn, what a great experience! We went to a fireside and the speaker had a great idea--that families should go to the temple to celebrate birthdays and do temple work. So we want to do it and all go do baptisms next birthday. I love the Logan Temple!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait till I am 12 so I can do baptisms for the dead!!!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds way fun!!!!
Brooky, That is so wonderful that you could go and do that! Our Cody just turned 12 last September and this year has been the first that he's been able to go. He and Tiff really love to go and do baptisms for the dead. Our ward gets to go to the Manti Temple. It's almost a three hour drive from our house. They get to eat in the temple cafeteria when they go. Have you ever seen the Manti Temple? It is a pretty old temple, just like the Logan Temple. I bet you love the Logan Temple. It sure is beautiful.
